It has been years since I had the um .....Ah yes ... It has been years since I had the um .... Well since I had to eat pear salad. All of my schools served it every Now and then. My mother loves it and used to make it all the time (without the cherry - with the lettus leaf on the bottom) - she loves it! I hated it; this hate mostly due to my dislike of canned pears.<br /><br />As much as I hated it ... For some strange reason ... Thinking about it now has me contemplating if I should give it a whirl on my own - just to see if it is as horrible as I remember .... I LOVE PEAR SALAD!!! I don't recall ever having this at school. My first recollection is having it at a "dinner on the grounds" at church.
